PRISM

Civic intelligence for everyone

Phase 1 public site

A live window into an open civic intelligence network.

Prism turns verified public evidence into clear, sourced answers without hidden persuasion, tracking, or ownership by any single institution.

Transparent. Open source. Owned by no one. The website uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking code.

The page renders with server data first, then refreshes in the browser when JavaScript is available. A future heartbeat API can replace the mock provider without changing the homepage contract.

How it works

Private by architecture.

A peer network of observer nodes — no headquarters, no central authority. Your phone personalises your feed locally using a small on-device model. Observers scrape, analyse, and generate intelligence. Patterns emerge from the network. No single node can be silenced to take it all down.

Your Phone

A small AI model runs entirely on your device. It re-ranks your news feed and answers civic questions using your preference profile — stored only on your phone. No server ever sees what you read, where you live, or what you care about. This is an architectural guarantee, not a privacy policy.

Observer Nodes

Anyone can run an observer node — a Raspberry Pi, a laptop, a spare VPS. Each observer scrapes local and international sources, analyses them, and feeds the results to phones in their area. The network has no HQ. No single node can be pressured or silenced to take down the whole thing.

Civic Intelligence

Observers cross-reference candidates against business registries, procurement records, parliamentary votes, and investigative press — simultaneously, at scale. They detect narrative coordination, maintain civic memory, and generate evidence-based summaries. No verdicts. No recommendations. Just the public record, synthesised.

Hive Mind

Cross-border patterns emerge from observer overlap — no central 'world mind' server required. When multiple observers cover the same region, transnational flows, coordinated narratives, and corruption topology become visible. The intelligence grows as the network grows.

Contribute

Help the network become real.

Phase 1 focuses on credible public presence, not on pretending the whole network already exists. The next useful contributions are operational: documentation, verification infrastructure, node software, and source work.
